Hello

Hi, I’m Yasmin Burris, Founder and Lead Coach of The Healing Hour. I am a daughter of Christ, wife, mother, heart healer, and life coach with over a decade of experience in coaching.

My professional background includes leading diverse teams, managing organizational change, and guiding individuals through high pressure transitions. Beyond my corporate expertise, I have dedicated the last 10 years to marriage and individual life coaching, with a heart for seeing women and families thrive. My personal journey is marked by intentional self-study in trauma healing, a deep commitment to Biblical principles, and lived experiences of transformation. I’ve committed to the application of God’s word to every area of my own life, resulting in numerous breakthroughs in faith, relationships, and purpose. I will bring this wisdom and authenticity to you.

Our
philosophy

At The Healing Hour, I believe every woman’s healing begins with understanding her core — the place where her earliest experiences, beliefs, and sense of self intersect. Our childhood experiences shape our sense of identity, which in turn influences our understanding of our purpose, goals , desires, and aspirations. These inner drivers then show up in our behaviors and how we move through the world.

When we reconnect with who we are at the core, we can begin to heal the patterns formed in our past, redefine our identity through truth and grace, and align our actions with our God-given purpose. My coaching approach guides you through this cycle of awareness and renewal; helping you heal from the inside out so that every part of your life reflects wholeness, intention, and peace.

Our approach

I believe that true healing happens when faith, mindset, and aligned action come together. My coaching approach is both spiritual and strategic — designed to help you reconnect with your divine identity, transform limiting beliefs, and take consistent, purpose-driven steps toward the life God intended for you.

My method blends the heart of faith with the structure of transformation:

  • Faith-based guidance: Rooted in Biblical truth and practical application, helping you align your daily life with God’s promises and purpose.

  • Practical strategies: Grounded in real-world tools to build confidence, establish healthy boundaries, and create sustainable habits that support lasting change.

  • Change management expertise: Drawing from years of professional experience leading transformation and growth to help you bridge the gap between vision and execution in a sustainable way.

  • Mental health insight: Informed by holistic mental health principles and exposure to diverse therapeutic frameworks, ensuring a compassionate, well-rounded approach to healing.

  • Transformational coaching: Fueled by authenticity and spiritual discernment, to guide you to uncover, and release limiting beliefs, embrace truth, and strengthen your spiritual maturity through lived experience and faith-based reflection.

Through this blend of faith, psychology, and purposeful strategy, I help women heal from the inside out — so they can show up whole, confident, and thrive.

Our work will be a partnership. I will act as your coach to guide, challenge, and inspire you; but your commitment and devotion fuels your growth.

The woman behind

The Healing Hour

I’m a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Before stepping fully into entrepreneurship, I built my career leading across the retail, manufacturing, and finance industries. Most recently, I served as an IT Change Management Lead and Project Manager at one of the world’s top investment firms — where I learned how structure, clarity, and thoughtful leadership change everything.

At home, I’m married to my husband, Derek Burris, an engineer with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. We’ve been married for 11 years and are raising two beautiful children — a son and a daughter, right here in Charlotte, NC.

Outside of coaching, you’ll find me reading, laughing loudly with the people I love, and protecting intentional time with my family. I believe healing is sacred work, but joy, rest, and community are just as holy.
